Costello-Events > On our mini-bike tour to Moulvoudaye, Maroua, and back we stopped on the way from Yagoua to Moulvoudaye to marvel at this enormous termite mound.

Costello-Events > In the desolate expanse of near desert that is Yagoua and its surrounding villages, who would have thought to find this incredible, lush, vibrant forest?! We sure didn't, hence why after living here for over a year and a half we just stumbled upon it on our bike tour.

Costello-Events > Speaking of desolation, isn't this a purty site on the way from Moulvoudaye to Maroua. So often people start building when they come into some cash, which quickly flees, causing them to abandon the project, leaving half-constructed buildings like this scattered throughout the country.

Costello-Events > A highlight of late, our trip to Figuil, where we watched and assisted one of our peer educators in giving a well-received presentation on HIV/AIDS transmission and prevention as well as a demo on how to use a condom. Three cheers for Ametissa Paul!

Costello-Events > He's hardworking, determined, a role model, and creative to boot! He used paper and markers we gave him to design numerous signs and posters, including this one attached to the back of a bike! He even thanked us numerous times for health brochures and information we brought him which he devoured and studied during the night we were there.

Costello-Events > Of course a visit to see Cameroonians can't go without a picture taking session. We hiked throughout the countryside surrounding his village taking pictures in various combinations and poses. We thought you might enjoy one of us.
