One of the reasons Killarney is "tourist central". This is Lough Leane just outside town as viewed from the Lake Hotel grounds (a wonderful place to have an early afternoon pint in the warmth of the early April sun). We had lunch here with the girls in July 1998 so just had to return . . . little had changed.

Costello-Events > And off we go to Ireland! Actually, we flew on Aer Lingus but the active runaway in Boston was just outside the picture windows of the international terminal . . . looked as if you could touch the planes! How does a billion pounds rise off the ground when it appears to move so slow? Sometimes I question whether airplane travel is real.

Killarney is "tourist central" and therefore very crowded . . . but still beautiful if you can get past the crowds. There's a reason the crowds are there . . . much to do, see and enjoy.

Costello-Events > For lunch we had fresh baked bread, cheeses and butter on the side of the road while driving the Ring of Kerry. The water is Dingle Bay and the land mass in the distance is the Dingle Peninsula. Cathy and I much prefer the Dingle Peninsula to the Ring of Kerry (actually the Iveragh Peninsula). Note the sheep and the farmhouse in the background . . . could you imagine living in such a magically place?
