Costello-Events > Laurie's platoon. As the honor grad of her platoon, she carried the "guideon" and is the Marine in dress blues on the left of the platoon. The dress blues are not issued to the Marines but as the honor grad, Laurie was issued this special uniform.

$Costello-Events > Laurie as the platoon honor grad, carried the platoon \"guideon\" during the final phases of training. The \"guideon\" was the rallying point for the platoon and an important symbol for them.$

Costello-Events > The color guard. That is the 8 honor grads from the 8 platoons in front of the honor guard just prior to the awards ceremony to recognize their special achievement.
