Costello-Events > Finally we managed to take a few pictures around town in cognito so we don't get hounded for our camera! Here is a shot of Mike's "work", the Centre de Jeunesse et d'Animation (Youth Center). This is where he is based and where we've started giving health classes.

Costello-Events > The Centre de Sante (Health Center) in Yagoua, also Erin's place of work. This is where she is based and checks in every few days, though she doesn't do much "work" here. We have given a few presentations and assist with Health Committee meetings.

Costello-Events > Next door at our friend/neighbor Danielle's house. While Mike was in Yaounde Erin hung out with Danielle and her daughters. Here they are having a blast coloring one afternoon with all the fun art supplies you all have sent!

Costello-Events > Erin and Mr. Pierre Woumou, her counterpart, in his office. He is the head nurse at the Health Center, and quite the character. (Yes, it's HOT, notice the sheen on Erin's face!)

Costello-Events > The recent Comite de Sante (Health Committee) meeting. From left to right is the President (who also translates the meetings into Fulfulde), a man who translates the meetings into Massa, and Mr. Woumou who gives the meetings in French.

Costello-Events > Hope you can see the swirl of brown in the clouds. While we were on our porch doing laundry the other day we looked up in the sky and saw swarms of locusts! We felt like we were in Biblical times.

Costello-Events > The Health Committee meeting. Mike is seated with all the chiefs of Yagoua's neighborhoods and the surrounding villages. Another polio vaccination campaign is about to begin so the committee is called together to help spread information and encourage people to get their kids vaccinated.

Costello-Events > Becky (the second daughter), the eldest daughter (can't remember her name), and Danielle during our coloring session.

Costello-Events > A shot of some local women while they wait at the Health Center for their prenatal counseling appointments.
